Junior Fashion Designer

Mission
As a creative and detail-oriented Junior Fashion Designer, you will assist in the design and development of collections, support the design team with research, sketching, fabric selection, colour stories, mood boards and sample creation. As well as supporting other creative projects, photoshoots, trends, presentations. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring and talented designer to gain hands-on experience and grow within the industry.
Main responsibilities
  • Support design team with seasonal trends and colour research, mood boards, some travel will be required
  • Work closely with marketing, design, and product development teams to understand the collection and design and refine according to brand DNA and market needs
  • Support design team in creating technical drawings, collection overviews and updates
  • Support product development and design team in fittings
  • Monitor industry trends and B2C/B2B activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in visual design and development
  • Collaborate with sustainability team and product development to gain understanding and knowledge of circularity and recycling
  • Some customer and market visits will be required
  • Support design director for creative projects and tasks
  • Work with design and comms team on photoshoot preparation
  • Daily operational work; collecting and sorting samples, steaming samples, keeping the design area and storage in order.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion design
  • Minimum 3-4 years of design & creative experience
  • Solid creative talent and aesthetic sensibility, with the ability to translate brand DNA into compelling collections & other creative design projects
  • Strong sense of sustainability throughout the process
  • Proficiency in design software and visual presentation tools (adobe package, 3D & CLO an advantage).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Creative flair, attention to detail, and a passion for staying abreast of industry trends
  • Portfolio showcasing design projects and creative executions (including hand sketching as well as illustrator technical designs)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for store & dealer visits, events, and industry fairs
  • Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus
