Stanley/Stella, the European leader in premium, sustainable blank apparel is expanding to the US and looking for a Decoration Lab Manager & Brand Ambassador like no other based in our Los Angeles office. 

We only work with the top 1% decorators (printers and embroiderers) in the industry, who decorate our products before resale. We strive to provide the best decorated collection in the market. We achieve this ambition through our decoration labs (in HQ and now in LA) where we research and develop the best products for decoration, and advise our decoration partners on how to get the best results out of our products.

The Decoration Lab Manager & Brand Ambassador role combines expertise in textile decoration, deco lab management, and live advocacy for excellence, innovation, and sustainable practices. Be a key figure in advancing Stanley/Stella's reputation for groundbreaking decoration techniques while managing a state-of-the-art deco lab.

  • Lead a state-of-the-art deco lab that serves as a hub for creativity and excellence.
  • Advocate for industry-leading decoration techniques through live events and thought leadership.
Main responsibilities
Lab Management and Strategic Collaboration
  • Oversee the Deco Lab operations, ensuring it serves as a top-tier facility for deco testing, sales tools, and communication assets.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative and communication teams, as well as the Brussels-based Deco Lab team, to deliver projects and strategies.
  • Maintain and optimize the lab setup to meet diverse needs for deco testing and sales support.
  • Uphold the highest quality standards for in-house and outsourced decoration processes, ensuring output aligns with Stanley/Stella’s brand standards.
Ambassador of Decoration Excellence and Innovation
  • Advocate for sustainable and innovative decoration techniques that highlight Stanley/Stella’s unique garment offerings.
  • Set-up and animate podcasts, webinars, and events to inspire and educate both internal teams and external audiences.
  • Represent Stanley/Stella at trade shows, conferences, and industry events as a thought leader in textile decoration.
  • Collaborate closely with the communication and creative departments to align on projects and strategies that elevate brand decoration.
USA Deco Expertise Ambassador and Sales Support
  • Provide expert advice and support to Stanley/Stella's team and customers on garment decoration techniques and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, offering timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct on-site visits across the USA to deliver technical advice and training.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to deepen product knowledge and enhance customer communication on Stanley/Stella’s decoration capabilities.
Quality Assurance and Claim Management
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks, addressing issues proactively to maintain excellence.
  • Manage claims related to decoration techniques by liaising with customers and internal stakeholders for timely resolutions.
Technical Mastery and Training
  • Be proficient in a wide range of decoration techniques, including screen printing, DTG, DTF, and embroidery.
  • Serve as a technical expert, guiding the team and customers in mastering advanced textile decoration techniques.
  • Support HQ in developing the best collection for decoration in the market.
Your profile
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in textile decoration techniques, including screen printing, DTG, DTF, and embroidery.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
  • Experience managing deco labs or similar operational facilities.
  • Ability to manage projects end-to-end, from ideation to delivery.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%) within the USA and occasional opportunities to visit our Brussels HQ!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with creative and technical teams.
