New Materials and Circularity Manager

Mission
In our journey towards excellence in Sustainability, this role reporting to the Head of Sustainability will develop and define the path forward in terms of New Materials and Circularity, starting by understanding the various options, analyzing best practices and developing business plans to be validated by the CEO and the BOD before setting up action plans for implementation.
Main responsibilities
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the various preferred and recycling material options in fashion, textile and in our promotional textile industry.
  • Build business intelligence on the matter including a deep knowledge of all legal aspects at EU and global level.
  • Identify best practises in the market from competition, B2C sector or other textile industries and understand business models and market potential and ROI.
  • Understand the different aspects of circularity in the parts of the world were Stanley/Stella is present, looking at the full value chain, from cotton field to end consumer.
  • Understand and define what a winning proposition Stanley/Stella could make to be ahead in terms of circularity, taking into account business realities.
  • Build a strategy and a business plan (forecasting, budgeting, hiring,…), together with all of the divisions (Marketing, Sustainability, Operations, Finance,…) where all the business needs and constraints of these divisions will be considered.
  • Build up an action plan reflecting the opportunities identified and translating them into concrete actions, responsibilities and key milestones.
  • Propose the organisation and the proper team to implement the action plan and develop a collaborative approach with the right experts and organisations.
Your profile
  • A strong interest and an minimum knowledge or experience in circularity and preferred materials in the textile/fashion industry
  • Project management and organisational  skills, sound Business understanding with good ability in prioritizing, organizing & motivating
  • Cross-functional and collaborative mindset and able to bring various departments and interests together into transversal projects
  • Master’s degree in a business related domain
  • Textile engineering background is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in the apparel/promo/retail industry is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Entrepreneur mindset in a fast-changing, rapidly growing company
  • Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus
